Someone you love is very sick,

With cancer called Stage Four.

The doctors will do all they can

To help them more and more.

And you cannot catch it too.

Nothing that you said or did

Made this happen—you are you.

Some days you may feel worried,

Some days you may feel sad.

You might feel scared or angry,

And sometimes even glad.

Every feeling is okay;

You never have to hide.

A grown-up you can trust will listen

And stay right by your side.

You can draw a happy picture,

Share a story, laugh, or play.

You can give a gentle cuddle

Or simply sit and stay.

We do not know what each day brings,

But one thing will stay true:

Love lives inside each precious moment,
